What Is The Admissions Criteria?

There are no formal qualification requirements for admission to the Programmes. Admission is based on a first-come-first-served basis.

Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential. If English is not your first language, or if you have less than one year’s experience studying or working in an English-speaking environment, we would require a brief statement documenting your proficiency.

 

Are The Programmes Open To Participants Outside The United Kingdom?

Yes, we welcome participants from all countries.

 

Where Do The Programmes Take Place?

Some of our programmes are held at the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn: Lincolns Inn

How Do I Apply?

Applications for enrolment must be made using the application form. Please ensure all questions are answered.

NOTE: All bookings carry a 20% liability upon receipt of the application.

 

Can You Explain The Application Process?

Once we have received your application, you will be sent an email within 48 hours confirming a provisional place, along with an invoice and details on making payment via bank transfer. Payment must be made within seven days of receipt of the email. Once full payment is cleared, you will be sent a letter of acceptance.

If payment is not received within seven days, unfortunately we will have to release your provisional place without further notification. Please read the Terms in Legal Notices for further details.

 

What Do The Fees Cover?

The Fees for non-residential Programmes generally cover training, course materials, lunch and refreshments. For residential Programmes, they also cover accommodation. However, this may differ for discounted courses.

 

What Happens If I Cancel Enrolment?

You may cancel enrolment in one Programme and enrol on another one, at the discretion of Counsel for Leadership.

If you wish to cancel your registration on any of the Programmes and do not, or are not permitted to, register on an alternative Programme, the following rules apply:

  • Cancellations received by the Company within 7 days after acceptance onto the programme, a 50% refund of the Course Fees will be made, minus banking costs incurred by the Company;
  • Cancellations received more than 7 days after acceptance onto the Programme, no refund will be made.

We must be informed in writing by email of any requests for cancellations or deferrals.

 

Do I Need A Visa?

Immigration to the UK has become considerably stricter in the last couple of years. Please check your passport has sufficient time to run before its expiry and check whether you require a visa to enter the UK by visiting http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/.

UK nationals and EU and European Economic Area countries do not need a visa to attend the Programmes. However, if you are not an EU or UK national, you will need to apply for a Visa.

All our courses are shorter than 6 months in duration, and so all participants who require a visa will need to apply for the Student Visitor Visa:

 

Student Visitor Visa: For students aged 18 and over coming to the UK for up to 6 months who do not intend to work and/or extend their stay.

There is no need to apply for Tier 4 visas under the points-based system.

 

How Can I Continue My Training After The Course?

At the end of the course, we will provide you with details of how you can continue your training with us. This can be in the form of one-to-one coaching or a further training programme.

 

What Is The Dress Code?

Smart casual or formal business attire, whichever you feel most comfortable in.

 

What Is The Usual Class Size?

Classes are usually limited to 12 participants.

 

How Are The Programmes Taught?

These are highly interactive, skills based programmes and you can expect to fully participate in all of the activities. The more you participate, the more you will learn. Programmes will be taught through a range of methods from presentations, courtroom and business simulations, small group discussions, individual and group performances. You will receive critical feedback to improve your performance. At times, training rooms will be set up as courtrooms, and at other times, we will use actual courtrooms for training sessions. Less time will be spent on theory and more on practice.

 

When Will I Receive The Programme Materials?

These will be provided to you on the first day of the Programme.

What Kind Of Clothing Should I Pack For The Residential Programmes In Oxford?

The UK is famous for variable weather, even in the summer months. We suggest you bring a range of clothing suitable for all weather conditions.

 

Will I Be Covered If I Fall Ill Or Require Medication?

Participants who are not resident in the UK for more than 6 months are not eligible for National Health Service (NHS) treatment. Therefore, there will be additional costs for those who wish to visit a doctor. Participants are required to have full travel insurance, which will cover any medical fees that they incur.
