Training Methods

Take away reals skills, not just theoretical know-how.

Our Teaching Philosophy

The best way to learn leadership and communication skills is by doing. You are immediately thrown into the water and forced to swim! Once you have had a chance to test out your own techniques, and observe the techniques of others, we will begin your training in that particular area, honing your strengths and eliminating your weaknesses. This method allows you the opportunity to reflect on your technique, before and after, and understand how to improve.

Whilst we will teach you concepts and techniques through demonstration, the only way you can truly learn and improve is through practice, and we will provide you with ample opportunity to do so. By the end of the programmes, you will build up a personal repertoire of effective techniques to deploy in appropriate situations.

You will learn in a highly stimulating and interactive environment. You will usually be taught in small groups of no more than 12 participants and receive one-to-one coaching. This will provide you with a nurturing environment and one which facilitates on-going dialogue between you and your trainers.

In the real world, you are rarely afforded the opportunity for constructive feedback on your ability, and if you do receive it, it is often too late to act upon it. During this programme, you will be able to benchmark your own performance against your peers and receive valuable feedback both from your trainers and fellow participants. Recordings will be made of your performances for your own evaluation as well as personal analysis from our trainers.

Everyone is susceptible to picking up bad habits in every aspect of life, and this is no less true in leading and communicating. Our training will expose you to a vast array of diverse exercises that will challenge you and require you to adapt your skills to suit the context. It will encourage you to critically examine your habits, giving you an appreciation of the need for flexibility and fluidity.

Just to be clear, we do not expect anyone to have a background in law. Nor will we teach you the law. But you will be trained in the techniques of a barrister!
